FPGA Based Machine Controller (2024)

I developed a low-cost machine controller using the open-source project of Host2Mot: https://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/html/drivers/hostmot2.html

It is an ethernet device designed to interact with LinuxCNC and control servo drives in real time via step/dir signaling and serial protocols based on RS485.

• Bus Switch for high-speed 3V3 - 5V level conversion 

• Microchip Ethernet Phy/MAC 

• Fused Input + Reverse Polarity protection
